I had this perfect vision of my mother. Quaint daydreams of sending S to her grandparents for a week this summer. A week surrounded by family that she doesn’t really know very well. Images of my mother teaching S to sew and crochet – something I... more

hi phyllis
i'm attracted to your page because we have things in common. i try to eat mostly veggies and i love to crochet.

one favorite veggie dish i do is to make what we called gourmet pasta. it is saute lots of chopped garlic in olive oil. add seasoning - whatever. add (optional) fresh chopped basil and or capsicum.

another one: we had this for lunch today. boil one big block of tofu - remove from water and cut into 1 cm cubes. saute chopped onions and garlic in olive oil. add chopped button mushroom, salt and pepper, one tablespoon hot sauce (you may use any bottled hot chili sauce) then add in the tofu. let mixtue simmer at low heat for about 20 minutes.
